It’s amazing how clueless some people are about their surroundings. Meanwhile, she rocked into me because she was sitting cross legged and if you didn’t know, I will explain to you that wehn you sit cross legged both your ass cheeks are not planted into the seat, which helps to stabilize your upright seated position.

I am on the “F” train and was fortunate enough to get a seat when the train pulled into the station. At the next stop, a short hair blonde woman that looks to be in her 50’s boarded the train. She looks like she could be Russian or Polish. She’s wearing a mid length black leather coat which is evocative of eastern european women who wears lots of bling and too much make-up.

She steps in front of me and drops her bags on my feet (f*cking idiot). One of her bags spill out the contents. She apologized as she bent down to pick up her things. She leaves her bags on the floor, one of which is her handbag.

While she stands in front of me, she steps on my toes as if they don’t exist like when she dropped her bags on my feet earlier.

Then the girl with her loud music got off the train, and deliberately stupid eastern European blonde haired hag who is wearing too much make-up falls on me while she tried to sit in the empty seat. She apologized. When she sat down, she popped a piece of gum in her mouth and now is chewing her gum open mouth like a skanky gold-digger.

On a crowded “F” train heading into the city this morning. I’m standing in front of a full bench and am tall enough to reach the overhead grab bar. A lady who is not as tall standing beside me was holding the vertical grab bar, which meant that her arm cut across in front of me. I find this to be an obnoxious incroachment of one’s personal space in an environment where people have no regard for personal space just because they are taking public transportation.

These idiots are just asking to be leaned up on or pushed or nudged as a result of peoples movements with the train or bus because they’ve placed their arm and hand in the wrong place. And it’s usually the short women who reach across someone to hold onto something they can’t even reach to begin with!

Why can’t people be a little bit more conscious and considerate when commuting?

I was waking up this morning when the DJ on my alaram clock radio announced that the new MTA chairperson, Jay Walder was proposing to lower fares for weekend and late night rides so as to promote ridership during off peak time.

I went in search for this article on my iPhone while riding the bus to the train and found it in the New York Times, which you can read here; http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/22/nyregion/22mta.html

This guy has some interesting proposals which I am excited about especially as he’s experienced his proposal for NYC while he worked with Transport for London in England. This is the same guy who introduced the Metrocard system in 1998, and so I am confident that his proposals will bring improvements to a system that is currently cut back on services and increased fares.

One of the things he is proposing is a “…new computerized, scannable fare card would allow New York City Transit to charge passengers different prices depending on the time of day,…”

The PATH already has a scannable card but riders must purchase the $5 scannable card to reap the benefits of savings per ride and refill easily online. I currently do not own this card as the idea of having to buy the scannable card is just ridiculous. I wonder if Jay Walder or the MTA will make NYC riders buy a scannable card?

Mr. Walder is also proposing lowering fares when riders ride late night and weekends. His thinking behind this is to increase ridership during off peak hours, which would in turn help the MTA increase their revenues. I’m a little skeptical of this. Currently, services have been cut or reduced for late night and weekend services. And if they’re not reduced, service during these off-peak hours are obstructed with construction work.

I don’t know if reduced fares is necessarily going to lure more people to take the buses and trains but I certainly appreciate Mr. Walder’s ideas. He’s not only trying to find ways of helping MTA increase their revenues but he wants to improve the ridership of New Yorkers and daily commuter. I wish him luck!

To find out more about Mr. Jay H. Walder; http://www.mta.info/mta/leadership/walder.htm

more about “Fight on bus in San Francisco”, posted with vodpod

I heard about this incident where a fight broke out on the bus between a Black lady and Chinese lady. This took place in the Chinatown neighborhood of San Francisco. There’s video footage of the yelling and the fist flying that eventually broke out; Black lady made the first strike.

Supposedly, the story goes that the Chinese lady boarded the bus and noticed the empty seat next to the Black lady and asked if she could sit down. It was further explained that the Black lady has a fat ass and actually took up two seats. I guess the Black lady either refused or objected Whig ensued the heated verbal exchange.

The video doesn’t document the initial verbal altercation but apparently the video I have posted on here has a translation of the incident. It seems the translation and events that led to the physical battle may be true as it is openly discussed as such. Seeing as I was not there and there does not seem to be documented evidence of the initial verbal exchange, I can’t really say for sure that is how it went down.

However, I can’t see a Chinese lady picking a fight with a Black lady even though the bus may be filled with other Chinese people. Rarely do you hear of a Chinese or Asian person picking a fight with a Black person; not to say it may not happen just not as more common as the other way around. It happened to me.

What I don’t understand is why are the two disputing ladies standing up? Shouldn’t the Black lady be seated? What made her stand? And she was standing in the aisle.

Regardless of what actually happened, the Black lady striked first by punching the Chinese lady in the face. That was the Black lady’s mistake; initiating the first hit, which led to her getting her as kicked and punched by the Chinese lady. That Chinese lady walloped her good. Now, why did the Black lady make the first move but not followed through after the hit? If you ain’t gonna finish what you start, don’t start it because you will surely lose as in the case of the Black lady who may have had a big ass and took up two sets and objected to the Chinese lady sitting down next to her and argued with Chinese lady and then punched Chinese lady.

It’s unfortunate that this incident happened. I wonder if Al Sharpton is on this case?

Here are a few video responses of the incident, which I thought was hilarious. Yes, I can think it’s an unfortunate incident and can appreciate the humor others choose to take with the incident. If you are offended by this then why are you still reading this?

I’m on the “F” and sitting in between 2 different types of Indian men. Ones got a turban. The other doesn’t – he may be Pakistani for all I know. The one with the turban has bad breath and when he’s sleeping, he jerks his elbow into me. Ugh!

The other Indi-Paki guy is in a business suit and has got the sniffles. He has been trying to keep the snot from running out of his nose and then eventually had to wipe his nose with his hands; eek!

And then I have a white guy standing over me. He’s wearing his sunglasses and playing with his handheld devise. It looks like an iPod Touch; not sure if it is. He sneezed downward toward me and although he covered his mouth with his hand, we all know that is not effective. I wish they make anti-bacterial wipes in a facial cloth.

Sadly, this is merely the beginnig of the cold season and I expect there will be more situations where people will be sneezing and coughing without covering their mouths, or sick people who are going to work when they shouldn’t and exposing people like myself to H1N1.

If you’ve never had the displeasure of being seated next to a person who just can’t sit still, let me tell you what you’re missing. They’re annoying! I don’t know if they’re doing it on purpose or they’re just itching to get off the train.

A woman sat down next to me who could not be still the second she plumped her butt down next to me. I was napping on the train but noticed when the body switched happen. Did I mention that she’s not small? She was rather keen on sitting her butt down.

You know how some people are when they’re excited to sit down on the bus or train. They basically throw themselves into the open seat without any consideration of the people sitting adjacent to the empty seat.

I could tell from the way her wide butt rubbed down my side that she was no delicate flower. She was one of those frumpy mid-age women who walk around thinking they’re not in the way of others.

As soon as she sat down next to me she immediately scrounged around in her bag. The rustling of her bag brought me out of my semi unconsciousness state. She “read” her magazine shifting every page with her arms and elbows. It was as if she was trying to push for more room. Her fidgeting even went down to her feet where she started to kick my heel. I opened my eyes, and see her kicking me. I turned to her and told her to stop kicking me while she was still kicking me. She tried to deny it and tried to turn it around and accuse me of kicking her. I told her again to stop kicking me and that I was not moving my foot. That shut her up but didn’t keep her from sitting still.

After she finished shifting through the Smithsonian magazine, she stuffed it back in her bag. Her whole body was itching to move but she continued to sit. Her head darted from one side to the other, and back again.

Finally, at Forest Hills she got up and got off the train.

On the “F” train and there is an elderly man sitting perpendicular to me whose got body convulsions. Well, they’re more like hiccups in the pelvic region so it looks like he’s “poking” an imaginary someone. It’s not anything exciting as there are a couple of seconds between “hiccup poke”. It’s especially more offensive because he sits with his legs spread out like a typical man.

Oh, he just changed his seat to sit next to an equally elderly woman whom I assume is his wife. I wonder if they have much of a sex life. I guess if they did he’s got the assistance of his pelvic hiccup.
