Sitting “E” and “F” trains

I’m here at Kew Gardens and both the E and F trains are sitting a the station. I don’t know how long they’ve been sitting here but it can’t be good. Both trains were filled with people. I decided to wait for the next train, hoping to get a seat. The trains just pulled out. An F train is crawling in from a distance while another E train pulls in at a normal pace. The F train is still at the mouth of the tunnel. I guess waiting for the E train to depart which it just did. And here comes the F train. And another E train pulls into Kew Gardens.

Today is Veteran’s Day. The bus was practically empty and there weren’t too many people going to work so what was going on? I heard there was congestion down at 71st Continental while I was waiting at Kew Gardens. The announcement didn’t elaborate further.

I’m on the F train now and we’re making our way slowly into 71st and Continental.
