Starting 2009 with a delay

Happy New Year everyone! It’s 12:15 am and I am sitting on a PATH train at Exchange Place bound for WTC. We’ve sat here for 15 minutes. Apparently there are signal problems at WTC and so we can not proceed.

We were ten given a false alarm to stand clear of the doors; a sign that the train is pulling out. Well the doors shut and began to pull out but in the wrong direction. Then the train stopped and the doors opened.

We’re going to be here a while. And here I thought I may make it back to Queens before one end of the station remains open.

This is going to be a long night; it’s now 12:24 am.

It’s 12:26 am and now the train is out of service am we’ve been asks to get off the train.

No trains are bound into WTC at the moment and the authorities don’t know when the next train will be.

Someone just lit up a cigarette.

It’s 12:37 am and the train from WTC just arrived. So I suspect they fixed the signal problem at WTC.

The train bound for Manhattan arrived at 12:38 am.
