From $2 to $2.50 to $2.25

I heard this morning on a public jazz station that the MTA will get some help from a bailout plan. That means instead of increasing the fares to more than 20%, the fares will increase 10%. In other words, at the end of May, a single ride was going to cost $2.50. With the bailout, commuters will pay $2.25 for a single ride.
