Fat gets cold

So I’m on the Q46 bus this evening. It was sunny and warm. The temp was in the 70’s. In the evening the temperature dropped down to the 50’s.

I was dressed in summery clothes; not a dress because I knew about the evening weather. I always check the weather. I wore a comfortable top and linen pants. I carried a cotton cardigan and a light scarf.

After I boarded the bus a large round woman in a sleeveles top got on and started to close all the windows. I was sitting next to the window so she didn’t close that one although I’m sure she wanted to. She complained it was cold.

WTF?!

I get cold easily and I didn’t think it was cold. BTW, if you’re new to my blog, I’m not fat. Granted the temperature dropped almost 20 degrees but it wasn’t cold.

At first she took a seat behind me but eventually moved becuase the nice breeze that was blowing in was making her cold. The bus wasn’t even moving yet.

I can understand fat people being uncomfortable in the summer  and heat but I never quite understood why they complain about being cold. Their bodies are heavily insulated with thick layers of blubber.

And if she is so susceptible to cold temperatures then perhaps she should have dressed appropriately. Or carry a light sweater or a wrap.

Soon she’ll be complaining that it’s too hot!

  1. what is your problem with people that aren’t skinny waifs? Take a biology class, by the way, before you go spouting off about insulation in another post.

  2. if i had a problem with any skinny waifs, i assure you that i’d write about it. but as it stands, so far, i have written about my encounters and observations about the obnoxiously overweight especially when they squash me as they take a seat next to me, or make a public scene of themselves about being cold when it wasn’t.
