Rubbing elbows

I don’t know what it is with people but for whatever reason, I just seem to attract the ugliest or dumbest people to sit next to me.

On the E train and not at all crowded. A young guy sits down next to me and hits me in the shoulder as he sits down, waking me. He apologizes but it doesn’t end there. From Roosevelt Avenue until we get to Lexington, the guy sits with his elbow rubbing against my elbow. Good thing I was wearing long sleeves although I wish I had abrasive elbow patches. I think he was asleep or something because he was rocking about without bodily control.

He eventually wakes up and either gets off the train or moves to another seat. Either way, we’re not rubbing elbows anymore.
